Dr Qi Hwa Ng completed his B.Eng degree (2012) and Ph.D. degree (2016) in Chemical Engineering at Universiti Sains Malaysia. Currently, he is a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Chemical Engineering & Technology, Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP).

He is also a research fellow at the Frontier Materials Research, Centre of Excellence (Frontmate), UniMAP. His research interests focus on the design and synthesis of both functionalized hybrid membrane (e.g., Magnetic/catalytic- responsive hybrid membrane) and functionalized hybrid adsorbent (e.g., Magnetic/catalytic- responsive hybrid adsorbent) tailored toward water and wastewater applications.

To date, he has published 36 journal papers, 3 book chapters, and 2 research copyrights. Additionally, he has played the role of project investigator/co-investigator of more than 10 international/national research projects in the field.
